Position: HIL Testing Engineer

Contract:6 – 8 weeks + Possible Extension 

Location: Lancashire, UK 

 

The candidate should have 5 to 7 years of experience in HIL testing using Vector TAE tool suite

Candidate must possess proven skills in: 

• Strong experience in Hardware-in-loop (HIL) Testing using Vector TAE Tools suite

• Expertise in CAN based Vector tools such as CANoe, CANalyze, etc.

• Expertise in CAN, LIN Communication Protocol and Diagnostics Protocols such as KWP2000, UDS, GMW3110, GMW14241 and J1939.

• Good knowledge on writing CAPL Test scripts (CAN Access programming Language).

• Experience in automotive domain testing 

• Experience in Manual Testing, Black Box Testing, Functional Testing and Regression Testing.

• Good experience on flashing/ diagnostic tools such as ASL Tool, Serial Loader, CAN flash and DPS Tool.

• Knowledge on usage of debugger tools such as JTAG and Trace32 Emulators.

• Experience in Analysis of Software Requirement Specifications and Developed Test Cases based on the Specification and executing them.

• Review of the Test Cases and Test Execution. 

 

Good to have:

• In depth knowledge of Automotive Engines and Engine Electronics 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong technical background in software products documentation is required.

• Internet Research skills

• Ability to rapidly absorb technical information

• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
