JOB DESCRIPTION

1) Responsible for the setup, patching, debugging, upgrading and installation of Oracle database software and the applications.

2) Execute a test plan or parts of  the test plan assigned by a clients QA engineer.

3) Document test results

4) File bugs as per clients process

5) Verify the bug fix and close the bug as per clients process.

6) Document test plan results

7) Size the work and provide task estimates

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a dual role Oracle DBA and QA.

 1) 4-5 years of system admin experience in Linux/Unix and AIX operating systems.

 2) Experience with installation of Oracle DB's 11g/12c, Enterprise Manager 12c, RMAN, ASM and Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).

 3) Testing with SAN and NAS storage. 

 General Requirement:

 4) Scripting experience(python/perl/bash)

NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

1) Prior work history of at least 2 years of having worked as part of a virtual engineering team. 

 2) Prior work history of having worked independently with minimal hand holding from a remote

team. 

3) clear spoken and written communication skills.
